The First Acroteam Of The Turkish Air Force

The first acroteam within the Turkish Air Force conforming to the technological standards of the modern world, the one with the call sign Millî was formed soon after the introduction of the jets in 1952. This acroteam, which was formed within the 9th Air Base Command (Balıkesir), the first jet base of the Turkish Air Force, harbored an F-84 G (Thunderjet). 

The team with the call sign Millî (National), which carried out activities between 1952 and 1962, accomplished may important tasks. Millî has performed many successful flight shows in Türkiye, and made a distinguished name for itself in other countries such as Italy and Belgium as well.
