A: It is not possible to fly together with anyone except the persons specified by the directives and instructions.

A: We do not normally reserve backup pilots. But since the new pilots assigned in the squadron fly in the inner wing positions, sometimes they can serve as spare pilots for Number 2 and Number 3.
Q: What do Türk Yıldızları pilots do when they resign from the team?
A: They are appointed to other missions within various units of the Turkish Air Force.
Q: Can you fly in bad weather conditions?
A: We have 3 display packages. High one is flown when the cloud ceiling is AGL+9000 feet (3000m), low one is flown when the cloud ceiling is AGL+4000 feet (1300m), flat is flown when the cloud ceiling is AGL+1000 feet (300m).
Q: How does the G Force affect the pilots?
A: For instance, when performing a maneouvre with 5G, there is a load of 400 kg over a pilot with 80 kg weight. Positive G results in the blood flow to the lower part of the body which decreases the amount of blood in the brain. Because of this, sight contraction, loss of sight or blackout (fainting) can occur. Anti G suit compresses the lower part of the body, helping the blood be kept in the upper part of the body. It increases the G tolerance approximately 1.5G.
Q: What is the G over the aircraft when performing maneuvers?
A: Up to +5G during the collective maneuvers, and the limit of the aircraft, -3/+7.33, is used in maneuvers performed by solo pilots.

Q: How to become a Turkish Star ?
A: Graduate officers from the Air Force Academy complete their trainings successfully in the Flight School and become pilots. Then, they receive the combat readiness training with the aircraft type planned by the Air Force. After a certain level of flight hour experience, they are selected in order to serve in Turkish Stars.
Q: Do you feel dizziness when you are performing the maneouvers?
A: Physically you feel dizzy, but since the pilots are physically trained for such conditions they have the control of the aircraft all the time.

A: After evaluating your request, Turkish Air Force decides whether to perform or not.
